\u201eFrom Lviv to Paris\u201d<\/h3>\n

Weronika Chodakowska\u2019s debut album From Lviv to Paris features premiere recordings of piano works by Karol Mikuli\u2014one of Fryderyk Chopin\u2019s most important pupils. It is the first-ever monographic album devoted to the piano music of the composer born in Chernivtsi.<\/p>\n

The compositions recorded on this disc reveal a cross-section of the composer\u2019s rich creative imagination, drawing both on the Chopinesque tradition and on a style inspired by the folklore of Bukovina as well as the achievements of the German Romantics.<\/p>\n

Thanks to the recordings presented on this album, we can be transported to Lviv in the second half of the 19th century, when in many a salon\u2014alongside Chopin\u2019s masterpieces\u2014Mikuli\u2019s beautiful piano works could also be heard.<\/p>\n
