Weronika Chodakowska is a young artist, constantly and actively seeking fresh musical ideas. With passion, she creates and engages
in initiatives aimed at reintroducing and promoting previously undiscovered and unperformed, yet surprising and valuable piano literature by Polish composers. She also experiments in various fields
of art, successfully participating in important film and theater projects.
The pianist redefines the concept of contemporary performance and introduces a new quality in dialogue with the audience and the world
of culture.

The pianist honed her piano skills during numerous interpretation courses both in her home country and abroad, working with renowned figures in the world of piano performance such as Vladimir Krainev, Philippe Giusiano, Vitalij Berzon, Katarzyna Popowa-Zydroń, Anna Malikova, Krzysztof Jabłoński, and Tobias Koch. The pianist has recorded numerous albums on commission from the Polish Music Publishing House, Polish Television, and Polish Radio Chopin. She completed her master’s studies in the piano class of Prof. Elżbieta Tarnawska and Dr. Ramiro Sanjines at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw. She also delved into the secrets of interpretation during her studies in Berlin at the prestigious Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler and as part of her bachelor’s studies in Lucerne.

 

 

In 2023, Weronika Chodakowska realized a groundbreaking artistic project by releasing her debut album “From Lviv to Paris” featuring premiere recordings of compositions by Karol Mikuli. This is the world’s first piano monograph dedicated to the works of Karol Mikuli, showcasing the richness of the composer’s musical heritage in a new light. The album was met with extremely enthusiastic reviews from critics and listeners, thereby strengthening Chodakowska’s position on the contemporary music scene.
In 2024, the album was honoured in the prestigious International Competition “Music Eagles” in the category of „Album of the year”.

Since the album’s premiere, the artist has given a series of recitals, winning the hearts of the audience during the international concert tour “From Lviv
to Paris” in Poland, Germany, Italy, and Lithuania. Her concerts are not only musical presentations but also true artistic events that combine emotions and history with a modern concept of performance.

Weronika began learning to play the piano at the age of 11 under the guidance of Professor Tatiana Stępniak. Just after 5 years of musical education, she bravely performed Sergei Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto
No. 2 in C minor, op. 18. At the age of 17, she made her debut in the USA, moving the audience with her interpretations of works by Domenico Scarlatti, Fryderyk Chopin, and Alexander Scriabin.

Her talent has been recognized at numerous piano festivals and competitions – in 2021 she won the 2nd Prize at the Leopold Bellan International Competition in Paris, and a year earlier she was honored with the 3rd Prize at the Gloria Artis International Piano Competition in Vienna. Already as a high school student,
she performed on prestigious stages such as the Philharmonic
in Szczecin and the Polish Radio Concert Studio named
W. Lutosławski in Warsaw.

Today, the pianist takes to the stage with a burning flame in her heart, ready to share her passion for art and invite the audience on a fascinating journey through the world of sounds. Her interpretations move, leaving indelible traces in the souls of those who are fortunate enough to witness them.
