The new album From Paris to Lviv is a natural continuation of the artist’s warmly acclaimed debut, From Lviv to Paris (2023). The album title carries a symbolic meaning—it is not only a geographical reference to travel, but above all a metaphor for our lives, which are in constant motion between what is familiar and what is yet to come.
Weronika’s latest album features world premiere recordings of as many as 14 piano works by Karol Mikuli – from reflective, sometimes dark nocturnes, through elegant waltzes, to stylizations of Romanian folk songs inspired by the folklore of Bukovina. These works, which remained in archives for many years, now return, bringing with them the magic of the Romantic world in a contemporary interpretation.
